When you think of the 1960’s, you think of the golden era of music with so many hits. One of the most memorable being, “Hang On Sloopy” by The McCoys.
It still remains popular today, having stood the test of time along with so many classic songs of the era.
The resurrection of this classic era, and in particular this song, was the brainchild of four professional musicians who were there at the time.
All four have excellent pedigrees, having performed for over 50 years each and a mutual love of 60’s music having been involved in the genre from the early 1960’s.
Martyn McCoy. Drums, Lead and backing vocals. Started playing drums in 1965 and has developed a high standard and reputation second to
none. A powerhouse of a drummer, who frequently works as a session drummer for bands such as “The Cufflinks”. “Billy Fury Tribute” and others too numerous to mention. Previous bands include “Hedgehoppers Anonymous”, “Why Not” and for the last 26 years,
