From the tender age of 12 Tommy has grown up with plays and musical theatre, from school productions and armature dramatics to playing in some of North Wales main theatres, Tommy’s bubbly personality and cheeky charm, along with his powerful singing voice always landed him the lead roles.
Tommy soon realized that whilst musical theatre was his passion it was extremely difficult to get noticed, so from the age of 19 Tommy decided to try his stage craft on the cabaret circuit in the North West.
From starting out in the small pubs known then as ‘Tommy B’, and very rapidly progressing to bigger and better venues Tommy has fast become one of the most sought after solo artistes in the North West, building a reputation of reliability and professionalism and a good night of all round entertainment.
One of Tommy’s highlights was being invited to perform alongside musical theatre legend Peter Karrie and 80’s Diva Bonnie Tyler, singing ‘Why God Why’ from the show miss Saigon, it was Peter Karrie that told him to use his full name as a title, ‘ Tommy was Fantastic’ Peter Karrie. And so his stage name ‘Tommy Barron’. Because of Tommy’s background, his passion is songs from the West End and Broadway, often being compared to the Musical Theatre star Michael Ball, but Tommy has a very versatile voice that can sing most styles and genres of music from old style classy swing to modern day hits.
Tommy really does try to please everyone.
As well as Tommy’s fantastic Cabaret show he also performs as part of a male vocal comedy duo ‘Timeless’. a show of classic ‘straight man, funny man’ comedy combined with two fantastic voices, performing a variety of songs to suit any audience.
New to 2015, Tommy has created three separate corporate shows, each show has its own theme to suit a variety of occasions:
‘A Night at the Musicals’, A show performing all your favourite hits form ‘Broadway’ and ‘the West End’. Performed in the Style of the West End Legend ‘Michael Ball’
‘Simply Swing’, A classy performance of all the great classics, combining old style swing from the ‘Rat Pack’ and ‘Sinatra’ to modern covers by ‘Michael Buble’ and ‘Robbie Williams’.
‘The Soul of Motown’, A dance floor filler, sure to please old and young alike, this Soul and Motown show blasts out all the classics from two fantastic genres.
